| Legislation
Occupational health and safety legislation in Canada outlines the general rights and responsibilities of the employer, the supervisor and the worker. Each of the ten provinces, three territories and the federal government has its own OSH legislation. Federal legislation applies to employees of the federal government and federal corporations. It also applies to workers in certain industries such as inter-provincial and international transportation, shipping, telephone and cable systems, etc. Provincial or territorial legislation applies in most other workplaces in the specific province or territory.
